Looking for technical analysis writers among our readers
Posted in Announcements by Bob English | 1 CommentThis is a bit off topic, so apologies for the intrusion. A friend of ours runs a financial news site and is looking for contributors with a unique perspective on the markets. No pay, but the site gets a good amount of traffic and there would be links back to your existing web site. They will also help sell any premium products you have. Content can be a duplicate of what you are already producing on your site. If you’re interested, please respond directly to this email and we will pass along.

Free multiple time frame pivots indicator update / Silver warns of p. metals correction
Posted in Announcements, Free Resources by Bob English | No CommentsWe just added enhanced functionality that will display future pivots even if the new session has not yet opened (the biggest drawback to the prior version), as well as text labels (thanks to a reader). Registered members of this site can download the free TradeStation indicator here.
Above is a screenshort of the silver ETF (SLV), showing a rejection yesterday of strong resistance from yearly R1, monthly R2 and quarterly R1. As silver has been stronger than gold as of late, this was an early warning sign for the precious metals sector.

Welcome new members
Posted in Announcements, General Analysis & Commentary by Bob English | No CommentsThanks for your interest in our work. While we began this site with the intention of providing short-term market timing advice, we have attracted a wide swath of readers because of our longer term research. Most of our posts are related to short term market analysis and are posted under the category “Intraday Analysis”. Our daily morning report is always filed under “Pre-open Analysis” and contains our short and medium term views of the markets, along with interpretation of recent news, reports, and Federal Reserve actions.
We would like to remind you that you can adjust your subscriptions for all the categories of posts here. This page allows you to filter what you receive by email from us based on your preference. If you are a longer term investor and are not interested in short term analysis, you might want to consider subscribing only to the the “General Analysis & Commentary” and the “Long Term Analysis” categories.
We have recently been pouring over data provided by the Federal Reserve and will be posting (hopefully this weekend) our observations about what appears to have been driving the markets over the past year, and what the current data are potentially telling us about the future.
Thanks again for your support.

Finding Support & Resistance with Anchored VWAP Bands
Posted in Announcements by Bob English | No CommentsIt may sound like Greek, but Paul Levine created his MIDAS Method after he made a major discovery in the mid-1990′s about the uncanny ability of these lines based on volume and price to act as support and resistance. We’ve gone a step further and added standard deviations to the bands based on the work of an existing indicator from the TradeStation forum. See how they have acted on US 30 Year T-Bonds since the Fed announced its quantitative easing program on March 18, 2009, and how the eMini S&P 500 rocketed off confluence today.
We’re using this opportunity to launch the Free Resources section of our website, where we’ll be posting indicators (including code) and helpful articles that we create or come across.
